In a big city in the West, time is suspended and you expect the worst. If only one knew what to expect... But the informant should have spoken up sooner. Or that the cop he confided in before being shot wasn’t also killed by mistake. It would have been better if the guys who were planning the job hadn’t been scattered all over the city, hiding in cellars and warehouses. This case should have been similar to what we know. But who could have foreseen that everything would be in the hands of a young girl still in high school, of this mysterious little Gallic girl ready to do anything to make her life meaningful.

After Le bloc and L’ange gardien, Jérôme Leroy, a subtle observer of the political and identity-related drifts of our society, offers us a new incisive and troubling novel.
